Privacy policy
This policy explains what information this website collects, why it is used, and how it is looked after.
What this policy covers
This policy covers this website. The website is an information and contact channel: it does not take bookings and does not take payments. The DCL mobile application and any service carried out after you contact us are governed separately, and this policy does not describe them.
The information you give us
The contact form collects your name, your mobile number, your email address if you choose to give one, the type of enquiry you select, the service you were reading about if you arrived from a service page, and the message you write. Only the mobile number is required alongside your name and message; the email address is optional. Please do not include information in the message that is not needed to answer your enquiry.
Technical and security records
Our systems keep technical records of requests made to them, which can include the network address the request came from, the time, and the address requested. These records exist so the service can be operated, faults can be diagnosed, and abuse such as automated submissions can be limited. The contact form is rate-limited per network address for that reason.
Why we use your information
We use it to read and answer your enquiry, to contact you about it, to prepare a quotation or arrange a service if that is what you asked for, to keep a record of the enquiry for customer support, to protect the service against abuse and fraud, and to meet obligations that apply to us under the laws and regulations of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your information and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. It is handled by DCL staff who need it to deal with your enquiry. It is also processed by the technology providers that run our systems — for example our cloud hosting provider — strictly to provide that service to us and under their agreements with us. We may disclose information where a competent authority requires it, or where disclosure is necessary to establish or defend a legal claim.
Where your information is processed
Our platform is currently hosted on Microsoft Azure in a region outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which means your information is processed outside the Kingdom. Any such transfer is subject to the requirements that apply to it under Saudi data protection law. DCL is reviewing the hosting region as part of finalising this policy, and this section will state the position that is in force once that review is complete.
How long we keep it
We keep an enquiry for as long as it is needed for the purpose it was given for — answering you, and the customer record that follows if you become a customer — and then for as long as we are required to keep it by applicable law, for example accounting and tax record-keeping. We do not keep it indefinitely for no reason. DCL has not yet fixed the specific retention periods; they will be set out here once approved, rather than stated as a number this policy cannot stand behind.
How it is protected
The website is served over an encrypted connection, staff access to enquiries requires an account and is limited by role, and actions on records are logged. No system can be guaranteed completely secure, and we do not claim that it can. If a personal data breach occurs, we will act on it in line with the requirements that apply to us.
Cookies and analytics
This website does not use cookies and does not run any third-party analytics or advertising script; its content security policy does not permit third-party scripts to run at all. The only thing it stores in your browser is your choice of language, so the site opens in the language you picked. Nothing stored in your browser identifies you, and nothing is sent to an advertising network.
Your rights, contacting us, and changes
Under Saudi data protection law you may ask what personal data we hold about you, ask for a copy, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it where the law allows, and withdraw a consent you have given. Until DCL publishes its contact details, the way to make such a request is the contact form on this website — choose "General enquiry" and describe your request. We will ask you for enough information to confirm who you are before we act. If this policy changes, the updated version is published on this page.
